20. What is line of sight and why should I be concerned about it?
Before an installation can take place, BreezeLink technicians must first determine a 'line of sight' from your location. The 'line of sight' is a path from the tower transmitting the signal to the antenna at your location. Any obstructions in the 'line of sight' can degrade the signal and interfere with reception.

The most common obstructions include houses, trees, the mountain ridge and other radio traffic (known as 'noise'). In the fall and winter months trees may not interfere with the 'line of sight' however, when the trees fill out in the spring and summer, the leaves can block the signal. Our technicians will use their best judgment to determine if the upcoming spring/summer foliage will cause any obstructions in the 'line of sight'.

The only way for a BreezeLink technician to determine if any 'noise' or other radio traffic will affect the signal is to test the signal at your location.

If you are interested in receiving BreezeLink Broadband service, please contact our office. A BreezeLink technician will visit your location to determine the 'line of sight' and test signal strength prior to installation.
